Our Story

My name is Jillian and I am the owner Quench Training for Women. I was born on Cape Cod, raised by a mother who created and ran for 30 years one of the most successful gym chains for women in New England, and grew up greeting her members at the front desk, making shakes when I was just 11, and doing my homework on an old couch in her office.

And even after all of that life experience, I never thought I would end up in the family business. At first, I ran to other things, but eventually my roots brought me back, perhaps hammered home for me forever when I became a personal trainer and discovered the power of physical training could have on other women, the ones who often never fit into any other fitness place.

The evolution of all of this was Quench, a company I started to offer women a sheltering place where they could pursue their personal fitness journey, a place that would become part of their daily life, a gym where you could get the help you need, as a woman of a certain age, and where our community could lift you up and let you flourish.

My goal, derived from conversations with women frustrated by their search for help, was to get women to stop failing at fitness, from endlessly starting and stopping, from trying, and trying, then giving up again, from feeling like there must be something so wrong with you because you can’t get the results everyone else seems too find. When you walk in my door, that’s the day your life will change, because I won’t let you fail.

My philosophy is simple - we go slow, based upon who you are today and where you want to be someday, out there, when you experience what fitness can offer your life. We exist to help you find what you need, as you are, at whatever age you might be. This isn’t a straight line journey, no matter what you have been told before. Some days you win, and some days you might stumble, but that is what a good coach is there for, to help you become the best you can be and to help you every day keep going even when it seems so hard.

My career and my passion is to teach women over 40 strength training can change your life. My mission in life is to empower every woman’s life coming in my door - I will teach you, hold your hand, laugh and cry with you - whatever it takes, one woman at a time, all of us growing together, until you find who you were meant to be.

If you are a woman and know you need to make a change, but don’t know where to start, please reach out - I can help!
